Developer terms

These terms apply when you use Breakcold’s APIs, webhooks, MCP tools, developer documentation or other integration interfaces made available by us. They supplement the services agreement and acceptable use policy. “Your integration” means the application, workflow or service you build or operate using those interfaces.

You may use the interfaces within the access permissions, plan limits and documentation applicable to your account. They do not grant a right to resell Breakcold itself, represent yourself as Breakcold or claim that we have approved your integration.

Before accessing a customer’s workspace, obtain authorization from someone entitled to grant it. Explain the integration’s purpose, requested permissions, data accessed and actions it can perform. Request the minimum permissions needed and use the data only for the authorized purpose.

Respect workspace boundaries and revocation. Stop accessing a workspace when authorization ends. Do not use a user’s connection to access another organization or to perform undisclosed actions. You are responsible for your integration’s behavior, including actions it triggers automatically.

• Keep API keys, OAuth tokens and signing secrets confidential. Do not embed secrets in public repositories, downloadable client code or logs.
• Use secure transport, appropriate access controls and safe storage. Rotate or revoke credentials that may have been exposed.
• Validate webhook authenticity where supported and protect against replay, duplicate processing and unauthorized requests.
• Restrict production access to authorized personnel and maintain a way for users to report security issues.

If an incident affects Breakcold credentials or data obtained through an integration, notify support@breakcold.com without undue delay and cooperate in containment. Notify the affected customers and authorities when the law requires it.

Provide users with an accessible privacy notice and comply with the data protection obligations that apply to your role. When you act as a processor, enter into the required agreement with the controller. Our data processing addendum covers our processing for the customer; it does not automatically cover your independent integration.

Minimize the data you retrieve, protect it and keep it only as long as needed for the authorized purpose or a legal obligation. Provide a practical way to disconnect the integration and request deletion. On disconnection, delete data that you no longer have a lawful reason to retain.

Do not sell customer data, use it for undisclosed advertising, or train general-purpose AI models on it merely because your integration has API access. Observe restrictions imposed by the original data source, including Google API data restrictions where applicable.

Respect published rate limits, pagination, scopes and error responses. Implement appropriate retry backoff and prevent duplicate or uncontrolled requests. Do not rotate accounts or keys to evade limits, perform load tests without permission or depend on private endpoints not offered for developer use.

We may change interfaces or require updates for security, compliance or product maintenance. Notice of material breaking changes is governed by the services agreement. We provide that notice through documentation or account communications. You are responsible for keeping your integration compatible. No particular API version or preview feature is guaranteed indefinitely unless separately agreed.

You retain ownership of your integration and grant only the permissions needed for it to interoperate with Breakcold. We retain ownership of our software, interfaces, documentation and marks. Each customer retains its rights in its data.

You may accurately identify compatibility with Breakcold. Do not imply endorsement, use our marks in a misleading way or distribute modified branding without permission. Listing, marketplace placement, co-marketing and commercial partnership require a separate agreement where offered.

You are responsible for supporting your integration and for its own terms, pricing and availability. Breakcold support does not become responsible for a third-party integration merely because it uses our API.

We may restrict developer access for material violations, unauthorized data use or a security risk, applying the notice and proportionality rules in the services agreement. You may stop using the interfaces at any time. When access ends, stop making requests, revoke or remove credentials and address retained customer data under your legal obligations.

Liability, confidentiality, governing law and dispute resolution are governed by the services agreement. These terms do not remove mandatory rights or our obligations for our own processing.
